Then, I get a call from my brother from work (he's a branch manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car).
Steve: Do you listen to Susan Werner?
(Note here... Susan Werner is a folk musician who I like a LOT, I have her first 5 CD's, and the 6th one just came out on Tuesday 3/9 - she's playing a release party concert in the area, I figure he heard this on the radio and is calling to tell me.
Me: Yeah... she's one of my favorites.
Steve: She just rented a car from me.
Me: She WHAT?
Steve: She just rented a car from me.
Me: You're kidding! I mean... she's playing a concert in the area, but really?
Steve: Yeah. She's really nice too. By the way, I have something for you... I think you'll like it!
So, anyway, my guess is that I won't need to go out and buy a copy of that new CD. I'll know for sure Saturday when I see my brother!
Tonight I drove back out to Philadelphia to visit my friend Amy, who I don't see NEARLY often enough... had dinner with her and hung out a bit... ended up walking to the local park... ok, so it's my 30th birthday, I can still play on a swing set if I want!
All in all, it was a good birthday.
