This is a page where you can check your black values for your monitor. My monitor starts to see the RGB values at step 3 and I see all brighter values. My monitors are also hardware calibrated so I'm happy with these results.

I can also see mine starting at step 3. The problem is the people looking at what I post aren't looking through my monitor! When I print I get a true representation of what's on my screen as well. But I look at my stuff sometimes on other people's monitors and it looks terrible.

Whoo hoo!! I have an older CRT and I saw level 2!

With the lights off that is. With lights on, its an 11. I usually work with the lights off anyway.

The next test was not so good. I can see the differences, IF I start long enough for my eyes to adjust.

That's why I post stuff like this. I'm hoping people will try to adjust their monitors so we can avoid discrepancies among our monitor's settings throughout DPC. :)

One thing I learned since I bought my laptop. Laptop screens are not the best way to view images while voting. I never thought there would be such a difference.
