I finally got the flash balanced right last night on shots where I was trying to balance a hot shoe flash with nasty direct sunlight.

However, when I look at the metadata for the shot, it doesn't tell me what flash compensation I used. (I was switching back and forth between different compensations on the flash, but I didn't have time to take notes.)

I'm looking at the metadata in bridge. Is there someplace else that might store the FEV?

thanks!!

In the BR preferences you can select which metadata to display. There are two flash selections, Flash and Flash Energy. I just checked a couple of shots where I used flash and see 'flash, auto mode' in the exif area of the metadata section.
