tanguera
julietnn
are going to a workshop on October 9th all day.
I will be driving up on the 7th and leaving on the 11th. Staying on the beach-front of Venice Beach, where they have a roof top lounge if anyone fancies grabbing a drink, dinner and shoot
Melethia has said that she would love to hook up for a walkabouts and shoot
So, anyone fancy 8th and 10th all day and or night for meet up? |

This is a bump, cos I can not believe no one wants to meet up with us.
I have references as to how flipping cool/bad-arse/funny/not so blunt/stupid I am in real life.
tanguera is just drop dead gorgous
and Melethia, well Mel is just Mel, a legend.
and edited cos I can not spell

I can attest to the fact Johanna is quite lovely and marvelously smart. And I cannot WAIT to meet Juliet, she of the "her life should be a miniseries" fame. Seriously! In fact, I'm giving serious considertion to (wait for it...) taking a day off from work! Yes! A mini-vacation! Which means we'll be doing Venice on Friday, maybe?
Only the very brave and somewhat foolish should consider joining this group.... :-) |

I tried to get directions, but google maps gave me this error message:
We could not calculate directions between hampton roads, VA and Venice, Italy. Oh well, maybe next time!
(actually, California seems almost as far as the real venice...)
Come to the east coast, people!

OKAYYYYYYYYYYYYyyyyyyy
I will come to the East coast next time!!!
Now Bear and I have a funny story about the East coast. (Actually probably more me than Bear)
I had literally JUST (a week or so)joined DPC and stuck a notice up as to where I should travel too. The poor silly man, said "Oh come up to Cape Cod'
I booked the ticket the same breath and told him I was staying with him. I don't think he knew what happened to him!
He was gracious enough to say "Sure" Even though he had no idea , who I was.
Not knowing,, that the night I arrived, I would insist that I had to take his dog for a walk in the minus-plus-minus snow weather, several times, to try and combat my airsickness altitude migraine, the fabulous man, cooked me an amazing steak dinner, which half way through, I kept puking up. And as sad as it is, I was so glad at that point that he couldn't hear me, because I so didn't want to upset/disappointed him, and I did in so many ways that day/night.
BUT I did get better and we went zooming around. (Until I nearly got his hearing dog killed) I still get heart palpations from that episode!
Then there was the New York thing, with Pawdix, that is another story. |

Oh don't I wish I had the secret to teleportation! I actually hate to travel. I love to be other places, just hate the actual getting there. And if I could teleport, I would not spend two hours a day contemplating the license plate holders on the cars in front and to the sides of me.... Gotta love the freeways in LA...
If we start early on that Friday, I'll drive up Thursday night and sleep in my car to avoid the morning rush hour. :-) |

I love to travel and have in many forms of transportation. The problem with me is that moving tends to put to sleep so I have traveled and slept on trains, cars, boats, and planes. You miss tons that way but you aren't as tired when you arrive and time goes by faster. Steve doesn't appreciate this notion much though. He's usually the one that's tired and driving. The best part of traveling is that it takes you somewhere fun and new.

Oh, that would be SUCH a fun GTG. I'm sad that is a continent away. I had an absolute blast with Deb in NYC: |

Texas works for me. Let me know where and when so Steve and I can join you. As I said earlier, I love to travel and I love Texas. Taking photos is a perfect mix of several passions including my husband. What else could a girl want.

Oh I went to Texas for a GTG, the humidity was so bad I ended up staying in the hotel room for the first day of the GTG. I swore never again, unless it was in the winter

Okay, but seriously, phhhfff
I want to get as much surfing shots in as I can. I love surfing shots (and rippling muscles, but that is neither here nor there)
V Beach is meant to be amazing with the amount of different people there, so would love to do some candids.
we have the 9th as a workshop all day, so T and I will not be available that day, but will be that night, all day Sunday through to Monday. |

So I love you already. And hope not to disappoint in person!
Deb and I are brainstorming about other things/places to see/shoot/do during that time. My schedule is pretty flexible, but also can get booked with work at a moment's notice. I'll try to stay as loosy-goosy as possible for that weekend. |

I am so laid back , it isn't funny, so any plans you want are good with me. I will have the mini van with me as I am driving up there, so we can go with up to 8 people anywhere. As long as I get my surf shots, I am good to go.
I would love to take you guys out for dinner one night, so stick that in the plans as well.

What about us heading out to check out Malibu and whatnot. The rock formations in the water are amazing. |
