I always feel like my Free Study scores run a little lower than other challenges. I get the sense that Free Studies are scored more harshly.
Surprisingly, tonight I was playing with some numbers and I found that overall, I have a better average in Free Studies than my average score. Who would have thunk it?
In 28 completed Free Studies since I started here, I've averaged a 5.7298
My Overall Average for all completed challenges is 5.6664
For those who keep track, how do your numbers stack up?

My Free Studies are my worst, score wise:
Free Studies: 5.9596
Advanced editing: 6.0018
Basic Editing: 6.1686
Im not surprised though, I find that the more entries there are in a challenge, the harder it is to stand out. |

My Open Challenge vs Members Challenge comparison looks something like:
Open Challenge Avg: 5.3384 (65 challenges)
Members Challenge Avg: 5.7948* (47 challenges)
Breaking the Free Studies away from that Member Challenge Avg, you get
Free Study Avg: 5.8768** (23 challenges)
Non FS Memb Challenge Avg: 5.7161 (24 challenges)
So... on those numbers, I'd say I tend to do better in my FS than any other challenges***
* current FS is about to change that to ~5.772 from 48 :(
** current FS is about to change that to 5.8278 from 24 :(
