Heya everybody, I'm going to be down in Lincoln City Oregon along the beach. If anyone knows of any good photo ops in and (close) around town. Maybe some view of the beach, lighthouses, etc.

Also, share any of your beach photos for inspirations.

Thanks!

I've been through there ... looking at the map Lincoln City is just about midway between Cannon Beach (the big rocks in the water) to the north and the Oregon Dunes/Seal Rock/Heceta Head lighthouse to the south ... :-(

I lived just outside of Lincoln City in Rose Lodge, off and on for a while. I even attended high school there for part of A year. It's a nice town.

Siletz Bay at the south end of town can be very photogenic at times. Various locations along the beach can make for nice photos too. Heck, almost any spot along the Oregon coast can make for great photos if you catch it at the right time. Early AM or PM is usually best, but any time might be good if the conditions are right.

Around noon at Cape Falcon

Late afternoon at Cannon (Canon) Beach

Boiler Bay, Pirate's Cove, and Depoe Bay are all just a short hop south from Lincoln City.

If you make it to Siletz Bay, be sure to stop at Mo's for some great clam chowder.

Have fun, and let us know if you get anything good.

Go a ways up the coast to Astoria and take photos of the shipwrecked "Peter Iredale" sitting on the beach.

One of my favorite things to do when I'm headed to a new area is to explore it with Google Earth and see what shows up on Panoramio. I can't super help you because Lincoln City is between the two areas of the coast I know the best (Cannon Beach and Newport).

I Spent a vacation week in Lincoln City a few years ago and with a buddy rented a condo unit right on the beach of Siletz Bay Estuary. There is a spit running along Lincoln City (which I now know is The Salishan Spit. The end of the spit is a popular haul-out spot for harbor seals and sea lions. The harbor seals bask in the sun most of the time but when the tide comes in they head for the Bay and swim around. The whole area is picturesque and easily accessible. (or was when I was there)

As others have said, the entire Oregon coast is incredible and what with lighthouses, coves, crashing waves against craggy rocks, you won't have any trouble finding scenes to shoot.
