I am getting very frequent "cannot find the site" and long waits "looking for www..." while surfing the web. This has been off and on for months. I thought it was Comcasts DNS, so I switched my DNS to use google's free ones (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) and that seems to clear it up for awhile, but then it starts occurring again. I've switched back and forth and it's hard to tell what the problem is. Any ideas?? |

Have you tried changing internet browsers? Sometimes that can help. |

Thanks - haven't tried that. I use Firefox almost exclusively. I'll try Chrome for awhile. |

Yeh I'm on Chrome now and think it's great. |

Your illegal porn sites are probably dodging to different servers quite often, and it takes DNS servers some time to update. |

If you are wireless I have had similar problems especially after a thunderstorm. I just reset my modem and router and all is good until the next event. |

eta: I'm with Comcast and maybe we just found a common link that it's not my wireless router but the modem.

I think it is a Comcast issue. It is frequent, but intermittent, so resetting the modem or anything else I do *appears* to resolve it, but very hard to tell. |

Not your fault - I think that's a Comcast issue as well. |

Good thing I can identify 'Report Post' though. :-) |
