Hey Roseann! hehe yep, I did manage to enter something... however it doesn't seem to be doing all that well, ha!:D
Was it Charlie Chaplin that didn't fare very well in a Charlie Chaplin look alike contest??... : )

Looking through nixter's portfolio for this challenge made me realise how much great stuff he has produced. I don't often look at people's portfolios - just their challenge entries, and I have to say nixter's challenge entries only scratch the surface of the extent of his talents. I was actually too intimidated to enter anything in the end, but thanks to whoever proposed this challenge as it has signposted me to the work of an excellent photographer - one whom is now favourited.

Some of the actual challenge entries are excellent, and despite studying nixter's portfolio for the last few days I'm struggling to pick out the one I think is his. I'm determined to try though LOL.

Well done to all the entrants for making this a very interesting challenge, and moreso thanks to nixter for providing the inspiration to the entrants.

[ edit ] I also meant to add, nixter is without a doubt one of the most underated (as far as challenge results go) photographers here.

This average vote is quite a bit above my average vote given. I feel people were inspired to think outside the box - some excellent images! Though some where not so much in the style of Nixter - as I see it, at least - many were very artistic and stunning. This was a fun fun challenge to vote on.

But seriously, you may be remembering the "Ansel Adams" challenge where we put one of his own images in under an assumed name? He made top-10, if I recall, and it wasn't a "typical" Ansel either.

I donno if the Charlie Chaplin story is apocryphal, but I *have* heard it before.
