I'm guessing that the phone apps have a way to resize and whatnot, so I'll figure that out soon enough--but is there a way to upload photos to DPC from a phone that doesn't involve trying to navigate the DPC menus?

(P.S. DPC powers-that-be, Langdon, whoever: SUPPORT MOBILE DEVICES! kthx <3)

No, I don't think so, I think you need to do it all via the normal method! I know on the iPhone you can set the sizes in one of the settings menus.

I open mine in Photoshop and can resize them there. Do you have a "post it here" thread yet? I can't wait.

Link to an interesting photo essay in the NY Times about iPhone/mobile phone photography.

Too bad we can't upload directly from the phone- iPhone anyway. You can get as far as the select file to upload menu, but the select button is inactive. Maybe you can with an Android- anybody try it?
I can see where DPC wouldn't want people voting from their phones, but upload ability would be cool.

You could send a file to your desktop and then remote control your desktop with your phone to upload to DPC, but I'm not that hardcore about doing it all from a phone! ;-)

I'd love to have a play here :)

how ironic that I've barely had my phone a few days and I see this. Other than dodgy games I don't have very many apps so this thread is a good find. Desperately wish we could upload without having to put on computer..

The general rule with SC is you post one image a day (can be more, can be less - no pressure). If you post, then try and comment on a few of the other images that have been posted. Others will comment on yours. If you use an app to do the editing, leave a note in your photog comments about which app it was. Main point of the side challenges is to have fun, without the restriction of the normal editing rules or timelines. Enjoy!

This is the posting thread.

This is totally insane...... How on earth can there be so many photography apps? So much repetition.

Lifehacker just posted a couple of articles on Best photography apps for the iPhone and Best photography apps for Android. Might be some goodies listed that we haven't found yet.
