I was afraid I'd see pix of my fellow Canadian photogs combing through each other's fur, picking off and devouring nits and the like. *phew* Well now that I know what it is, I chimp too on a regular basis!

I shot a day of football the other week and wished I'd chimped sooner. Then, I would have seen the flashing "NO CF CARD" message my camera was gently showing me after every shot for an hour and a half.

:)

This is one of the worst features of a camera. I think that should be set to "off" for good, or just allow to take no more than one per start-up. I had same thing probably a couple of times, lessons learned badly. I NEVER set my machine "on" again for shooting without CF card... NEVER!

I think the 30Ds have that setting. At least it has something on the menu to that effect, and I thought I had it set to not let me do that, but obviously.

Needless to say, I felt a little bit stupid. (This was the same day I showed up to the field with my rebel instead of my 30D and had to get my FIL to go to my house and get the right camera for me)
