So this week I posted photos from one my mmost recent (and probably one of my best and favorite shoots) on facebook. And as I was posting, I started deleting certain photos thinking they weren't facebook friendly...and then I deleted a couple more....probably deleted all my favorite shots and left it with ones I considered Facebook friendly. None of them are nude...some are implied, but done with good taste (at least I think good taste).

So that now leads me to this question....what is considered Facebook Friendly photos?

I take photos across the spectrum, most in fashion or Glamour. Fashion shots everyone has no problem being on facebook. And taboo says nudity shouldn't be on facebook either. But are lingerie shots facebook friendly? Eye Candy shots? Implied in good taste (sports illustrated style)? Implied with a strong sexuality/sensuality feel? Where do you draw the line? Some risque photos people may not mind sharing with the world, but want to keep off facebook where close friends and family.

What's your limit on what you post on your facebook photography page?

I don't have a limit. But, then, of course, I don't shoot anything that wouldn't be considered family friendly.

You can read the photo limitations on FB. Also, if you have anything that you don't want your family to see, you can add a filter to the folder.

Facebook is quite unpredictable on what they delete. Basically, once someone with so little life as to go through the tedium of reporting your image is done, a barely trained monkey on the Facebook team pushes a delete button.

I've got nudes (modest, not implied Example 18+ Image) on Facebook that have been up forever and I have had swimsuit shots deleted. Seriously, they are that inconsistent.

But, anything with nips or naughty bits showing will get deleted. Anything else pretty much depends on who is looking at your page (reporting images) and what monkey is operating the delete button.

I reported an image that I felt bordered on child pornography. So that "monkey" did a world of good by removing it!

I won't post pics on Facebook. Their EULA basically gave them and their partners an unlimited license to any images you posted. Now I believe that may have changed but I am still leary of posting pics there. Oddly enough I have no problem linking to my Flickr stream from Facebook though...

They knew the EULA wouldn't hold up in a copyright battle, not to mention the total lack of model releases.

Entirely depends on who are your "facebook friends".

That's the truth right there.

Well there is who I am friends with. Most of my friends would love the photos and my fraternity brothers I more worry about what comments they would leave on the photos because I'm friends with the models. I also worry who the models may be friends with as well. They may have work companions that they do not want to see the photos.

Edit: Fragmented Sentence

To me..that's considered implied. You don't see any goodies...all her parts are covered. So I consider it as implied and not nude. Nude shows body parts. Shots that I have may be similar, but have not been posted. One of my favorite ones is where she is implied topless (covering her top with her arm) but all the focus draws you to her face which is just gorgeous.

Yeah, it's definitely best to OK putting photos up before you do... because everyone's mom is on FB.

About the comments. Well, I have had for a long time a zero tolerance policy on degrading/rude comments on Facebook and Myspace. One slip up and your comment gets deleted and you become a "has been on my friends list".
