I've been trying hard lately to create great shots for challenges only to find that they didn't inspire much in the voters and was a little disheartening. I've since looked again at those photos and realised that not only were the voters right, most were probably a little too generous. New philosophy, just have fun for now with the challenges and leave the trying hard for when real inspiration hits. And guess what, the voting still depresses me (ha, just kidding - sort of). But this shot was really just for fun while trying to teach my 9yr old a bit about photography (while I still know a bit more than her).
I predicted a 5.1xx for this entry, which meant I really expected something in the high 4's so I'm very pleased with where this is going despite probably ending up in the bottom 10%.
