I just hope that along with the 60D being shipped that the price on the 7D will drop a bit.

Why? With the numbering, I assume that the 60D would be between the 50D and 7D. So the 50D would probably change prices...?
(Of course I'm could be completely wrong since I'm not bothering to look it up first and find out myself :)

Well, the 50D will likely be soon discontinued, as with the 40D after the 50D was shipped.
I guess the 60D's specs will determine how it affects the 7D's price.

whoa... weird...
The 7D was listed on the Canon on-line site about a month ago for $1599 -- $100 less than anyplace else -- and it wasn't listed as a special or sale or anything. Now it's back up to $1699. Bizarre.

"The 60D meanwhile is said by Canon Rumors to have been shown in pre-release form at a presentation. Canon is said to have held off on full specs but also to have corroborated multiple details previously mentioned in the past. It would be the first Canon DSLR with a swiveling screen and would share the 18-megapixel sensor and 1080p video of the 7D and T2i, but would be "video optimized." Continuous movie autofocus like in upcoming Nikons is a possibility."

I really wanted a 50D but with the 60D coming out I want that one....lol....However, I can't afford either
