I can remember just shortly (I think it was the same day because there were no other flights in the sky) there was an f-16 at full speed over Monroe, Louisiana. The windows rumbled....the vehicles shaked etc.....Then I was in Iraq, I lived 300 feet off of the airforce runway that specialized in f-16's.....That is a total different story

this is my favorite post from that thread

"Mike Jandl says:

This is God's way of saying that he wants the Supersonics to move back to Seattle. Or better yet for the trailblazers to move up to Seattle.

I fly out of Albuquerque regularly, and since it is shared with Kirtland AFB it's not entirely uncommon to be on the tarmac taxiing out to the runway when fighter jets take off... Being anywhere within 1/2 kilometer is simply stunning as the rumble is felt as much as heard, it simply goes throughout your entire body in an indescribable way... God I would have loved to pilot one of those beasts...

it woke me up from bed... ahhhh the glorious life of not having to work and no responsibilities...

The house shook and my bedroom door rattled. My mom said it was a firework at first. i said no that wasnt one... but i didnt know exactly what it was, just that it was a small firework...
