I know our metro area is not big, only about 350,000 people. But we don't have to pay to park anywhere downtown or throughout the city. We don't even have parking meters. I guess we are lucky!
ETA: I think we may have to pay a $1.00 to park at the city courthouse. Not sure. |

Probably goes straight into the beer fund so the prosecutor and judge can celebrate after they take your money for traffic tickets. |

Phew, got the Awesome Parking Spot today, and I even backed in using the single-mirror technique. |

Since I don't want a repeat of yesterday, I printed a Reserved Parking sign to paste up when I leave tonight.

I had to park in an amazing garage the other day in London (on expenses). It cost £36 per day (over USD55) and took me about half an hour to get out because I was ogling all the cars parked there.
My favourite was the sparkling new Ferrari 612 Scaglietti with child seats in the back - my dream family car...

In my town, we pay for parking just about anywhere that there's a curb. Pretty soon, we're going to get charged for parking at the red light, waiting for it to turn green!

Got my spot again this morning. But these long days are getting boring. Can't wait for this project to finish up so I can get back to the train and my normal, 12 hour days. :-( |

I fear that my Awesome Parking Spot and I may be experiencing a "Seven Year Itch". My wandering male instincts are whispering at me to check out parking spots in other lots. |

In this case, wouldn't that be the "Seven Day Itch"? Your weekiversary is tomorrow, if I'm not mistaken...

If my "partner" hit me up for $22 every day, I'd get itchy pretty fast too! ;-) |

Today is my seventh time parking in the Awesome Parking Spot, thanks to that interloper on the weekend. |

Dear Awesome Parking Spot,
I'm sorry I had thoughts of infidelity. I love you and will never wander. Please forgive me.

Did that wall end the parking spot forum... or was it the infidelity? |

Sadly, the Awesome Parking Spot and I have parted ways. But I know where it is for the occasional booty call.
My work schedule has gone back to normal, so I'm back to parking at the train station and taking the train in. Parking is mostly free at the train station, but there are some paid spots for the entitled beemer-driving asshats.
The good news is, several of the asshats have let their private spots lapse, and I have found the second best spot in the lot. The best spot is still reserved.
I've been hoarding that spot, but during the two weeks (vacay plus driving in) I was away, some Murano-driving buttmonkey started parking there, and I found my routine screwed up on my return to the train parking lot. He was even using my tires-on-the-line technique.
I figured Mr. Murano was catching the train just before mine, so this morning I got there early enough to beat him to it. I'll probably have to get there extra early for a week to shake him off the spot before I can return to my normal schedule.
As you can see, this is a pretty sweet spot. No parking behind or to one side, so I can put the tires on the line and leave plenty of room for the beemer-driving asshat who chooses to pay for her parking next to me.
