Rusted not long after Weathered.
Black and White still life straight after Minimilism In Black And White.
Are we running out of inspiration? |

just tired of people bitching about the challenges, its this years "lack of comments". seems like on a very regular basis the challenges are lifted straight from the suggestions forums so we all have our selves to blame to a large degree, if you had to come up with over a 1000 challenge titles how inspired would you be?

Generally people complain about how a challenge is repeated too soon or too often "Challenge VIII", so I think most people should be happy with this one.
It hasn't been done since 2004, and only been done once before.
I think it is a fine challenge. |

You know, I think I've noticed an even more prominent pattern...
Look back at all of the challenges.. It seems they're all themed around photographs - specifically digital photographs.
Seriously, that's some heavy bullshat - I mean, photograph contest after photograph contest... Maybe we should have some doodle contests...
--------
Ok, sarcasm aside, humans are good at finding patterns, and spotting anomalies.. So pretty much no matter what the challenge is, no matter what the rules, it's fair well inevitable that someone is going to think they've discerned a pattern that indicates... Something...
I think everyone that starts one of these threads needs to pay penance - by starting five more threads under "challenge suggestions", after all it's really easy to complain about stuff, but taking a proactive role is both harder and more productive. So, get over there and post some creative ideas that are unique and fresh.
-Cheers- |

I find a pattern with this thread... It was right after another one complaining about the lack of new ideas. I wonder if these two threads have anything to do with just annoy the crap out of DPC community... hmmm... I donno, perhaps? |

So, seems most took exception to my mentioning of the pattern.
If you're happy with the challanges, then go be happy, there's no need for you to post here. I on the other hand think there's a similarity, and I pay my membership so I'm going to mention it. |

I also see a pattern, but I like it. Skills learned in one challenge can then be further utilised in one that follows closely, thereby reinforcing the learning. |

Actually never mind me, I'm having a bad day, everyone around me is being stupid and annoying and as a result I'm getting frustrated with the zero progress I'm making.
But I'm home now so carry on :) |
