Help! I'm going to jail! As part of a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association they are hauling me off to "jail" on August 26th and I'm trying to make bail.

Donate Here!

If you make a donation and then send me a PM, I will comment on 5 of your pictures (of my choice). These are not your little sissy five word (nice shot! Luv the puppy!) comments, but full paragraph comments about what I think.

So bring it on and keep me from the slammer! Lindsey Lohan will kick my ass!!!

I'll start...

How much would it take to KEEP you in jail? :O)

All kidding aside Doc, I will make a small donation to this very worthy cause since my spouse has suffered from Myotonic Dystrophy for several years now. The only reason my donation has limitations is attributable to the fact that I donate rather heavily to this and other charitable donations in Canada.

I was totally in on a $5 or $10 donation, but $30 is just out of my league.. Sorry Doc.

There is a freeform field for another amount.

I made a $5.00 donation. Its all I can swing! Good Luck!

By all means people, don't feel compelled to donate beyond what you can. Like mentioned, there is a field you can put your own number in. If you make a donation, hold tight and I'll get to you. These comments take time! :)

You know Doc, we have had our differences......lord knows we have. But I have to stand up and say THANK YOU.

You may or may not know my son Brandon Has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. And without the help of the MDA I'm not sure how we would even make it. The money that you and others like you raise help families like mine in so many ways you can't imagine. Between their medical services and research, help with expensive wheelchair repairs, camps for the kids where everyone there is "normal" and not the odd kid out, and support for parents and families who have to watch their child debilitate before their own eyes is just amazing and could not be done without this. When my paycheck hits direct deposit I'll send you a nice donation.

I was going to go for a $5 donation but I am expecting such thought provoking comments from Jason that I figured that the least I could do is donate $30 :)

Now I wonder if I can get a tax receipt.... Probably not since I am in Canada. Oh well. By the way, my donation is to keep you IN the hoosegow. ;)

You will get swamped with having to comment so no need to worry about mine.

As Matt knows, my niece has MS and has never been in remission...she developed symptoms when she was 21 and is now 36.

I wish I could give more but I haven't worked in almost 3 years so ...being disabled sucks. Good luck to you.

Maggie - had to use my legal name on the donation page so Brenda Marguerite is what you will read. :)

Don't worry Matt. Your donation can keep me IN the slammer. Maybe they can waterboard me or something while they are at it. ;)

That makes $25 the MDA has gotten this year from me.. :) And I'm sorry it wasn't more.

Hint: the last person received $5 more than you did... (but she does give really nice hugs..:)

And hey, I know I'm way below the suggested minimum, so you really don't need to worry too much about commenting for me, like I said, I'm glad to give and sorry it wasn't more..

Before making donations, make sure you know where the money's going.

Be aware, from their website, the MDA funds human embryonic stem cell research.

I'd rather not turn this into a rant thread, so I'll leave it at that.

I just donated another $5, thanks for letting me know!

ETA: No more comments please, this wasn't part of our original agreement, instead just think of it as lagniappe..

Oh yeah...wait till I make a donation...then tell me.

I certainly hope you meet your goals Doc. As I said previously, my spouse has suffered from Myotonic Dystrophy for many years now and I hope they can find a cure for this soon... I would wish this on my worst enemy.

I must not be the first to say this but here goes...

If keeping you in jail means DPC members have a better chance at winning a ribbon then all I can say is ... rot in jail! muhuhahaha ;)

Good go on this Doc, I hope you get out and help the MS MDA association reach its goal.

ETA, I corrected my mistake. Thanks MattO.

MS and MDA are different organizations. MS is for Multiple Sclerosis and the MDA is for Neuromuscular diseases. Many people get confused on them. I get asked a lot if I am going to MS functions........when my sons disease is Muscular Dystrophy.

Jason...good idea.

We're bailing you out, but we better see some pics of you in jail.

Good timing, we got a little bonus @ work today, donation made.
And I agree with what Maggie said "You will get swamped with having to comment so no need to worry about mine. "

I'm working through slowly. Thanks everybody for the donations. If I don't get to you today, hang tight. I'm camping this weekend and will be back Monday.
