I was out snooping around an abandoned power plant (I think that's what it was) with my four year old niece. There was like an alley behind the building where there was some kind of storage or work building behind the main building. Anyway, my niece was running all over the place and started running down the alley ahead of me. Just as I was getting into the entrance, she comes running like a bat out of hell, screaming, grabbed me around my legs. I asked her what was wrong, and she said, "A man!" I looked down the alley and saw nothing, and said, "Where." She pointed right in front of us and said, "There! Don't you see him?" I saw nothing, but quickly started leaving the area because she was scared out of her wits. I did not say the G-word to her. I don't want to put that idea in her mind. I suggested it was a shaddow or something else that looked like a ghost, but she was very insistant that she saw a man. |

Children see things we adults don't. My son's boy used to talk about the old lady he spoke to in their house. No-one ever saw her, but he did? |

i agree with steve. i think it's entirely possible a childs mind can be more open and receptive to things we block out as adults.
great story. should have started snapping quickly on the way out. |

A ghost story for you? 1998, we moved house and were busy decorating, arranging furniture etc. I was wallowing in the bath after a busy day and in my mind's eye saw a woman standing by the bathroom door. She said you are welcome here?
I told my wife about this as I was drying off. She said she used to visit this house as a care nurse and the woman here died of cancer. When I described the woman, my wife went very quiet and told me that was Wendy, the woman she cared for!

I think it was much more likely an industrial ninja. We know ninja's exist and they can hide pretty well. Could have been some operation going on. Lucky they let you go. |

Maybe kids just have a harder time shutting off their bicameral mind. :-) |

To be honest, I find it hard to believe in ghosts, spooks or spirits. I think the whole concept is `fun`, especially when you have kids who love ghost stories. Ange thought she saw one once, is convinced she saw one - but its strange with all these ghost hunters we have never seen any conclusive proof of ghosts..
I think the best video I have seen is this one - you can see the (supposed) `ghost` move across the path of the car towards the end of the video, but you have to look REALLY closely - this is probably the most intriguing video I have seen..
Ghost in front of car?

to be honest, what I find hard to believe, is all "adults" going "OHHHH" "uhhh" "yeah Ghost, I see them too"... if this is a kindergarden website, I would understand... |

I don`t knock people who do believe in them. I am more of an open-minded sceptic. I would love to see conclusive evidence, I think it would be tremendously exciting.
Same goes for UFOs, Loch Ness Monster, Big Foot etc. |

Perhaps we should alert the media?
