Guys, help me out... Girls, sorry... IÂ´m a guy...

This thing has been driving me crazy the last few days, and where else to seek help than dpc... IÂ´m at "work", and gonna stay here one more month (24/7) straight, so my head is more or less thinking about things the whole time, and when I donÂ´t find out whatever IÂ´m thinking about, I go crazy!

I started thinking about... women... models... that I.... sort of fell in love with... when I was younger.... But there is one I canÂ´t remember the name off! And itÂ´s driving me insane here I am. All I remember is that she was blond, had lots of bikes in many of her photos, and that she sort of "disapeard" and returned somewhere married or something.

Now, blond chick on bikes doesnÂ´t exactly narrow the search down, but I remember something about Australia, and I think she was sort of a Moto GP girl, like the formula one chicks you see. Actually, I think the she was more or less THE moto GP girl, cause I remember her website was constantly updating with racinginfo or something, as well as photos (on and off the biking topic..). I mustÂ´ve been some 12-14 years old, so around year 2000-2002.

Uhmm so you, living in a land populated by hot blondes, want us to help you find a hot blonde who is into motocross and in all likelihood MARRIED and living in Australia?

No offense intended, but why start, or perhaps resurrect, nothing but what sounds like pure infatuation/lust for someone long gone?

snaffles... stick with me on this one. IÂ´m at a 24 hour duty, 7 days a week, for a month job now, and suddenly started to think about something I canÂ´t get to the bottom off. What would you do? I have a GF, and have NO intensions in replacing her with some blond biker babe twice my age, but.. being at work without GF, almost without contact as well, I need to know :p

I checked the paddock girls for that season, but she was more like a... pit girl hired to stick with a team for the entire season or something, and ocasionally lying half naked on the bikes. Must be. She was quite famous, even in Norway. Had her own .com website and all :p

ETA: could be any of the worldwide, or national, bike racing sports. I just said moto GP cause that was the first coming to mind.

To be perfectly honest, that would just be a fair payback. I was just sitting here wondering and thought IÂ´d give it a shot. If you forget the keywords blonde, bike, model etc and just think of it as a name you desperatly need to find out because you got nothing better to occupy your mind with for the next month, I would think it made sense. My current job is more or less just to be available, so... I sleep for 7-8 hours, then be available for the next 16-17 hours. One more month of that.

Sounds like an amazingly boring job, but I am missing the 'fair payback' part....please keep in mind I am old enough to be your mother.

So this is fair payback, how? I just don't get that part. You make it sound like your GF is lusting openly after another man. Maybe she is. But if she isn't, how would she feel if she read this thread? Would she be amused, mildly annoyed, or slam the door in your face when you came home?

FWIW I have been involved with men in the past who were clearly carrying the torch for another woman, whether they were someone they had actually been with, or just fantasy figures like your pinup. Their infatuation with someone they could/would never be with was so narrow-minded and intense it was painful to witness.

So I dropped them.

Now, look, itÂ´s perfeclty simple... As a young boy I spent a hell of alot of time on my own. I didnÂ´t have imaginery friends, I had a damned town, a community. For 3 years we were even at war (still is, as I kinda moved on with my life as well). Anyway, as every young boy I looked at women, surprise surprse, and now, being at this job, I just started thinking: "What was her name? huh..." As I somehow remembered everything else, being models or imaginery battles, even names of my fellow imaginery soldiers. So I just asked! And while I was at it I gave a few keywords as well...

This is NOT payback! We had our little... discussion... last week that I lost, and not rightly so I tell you! But I suppose thatÂ´s how itÂ´s suppose to be, eh? I love my GF, done so for 3 years and I hope it will last another 3 years, then another 3, then another 3, and so on and so on. Now, sheÂ´s in Turkey atm, with no internet connection. SheÂ´s gonna stay there for a month as well, so you can imagine the phonebill, even with limited communication. This is the fifth or sixth time during our releationship she goes there (mandatory familivacation..), and already a week in advance I start missing her so much I can swear my heart starts bleeding. It feels like that anyway. So I put things in my head to think of everything else I possibly can! AND NO!!!! I DO NOT PUT GIRLS IN MY HEAD!!! IÂ´M JUST CURIOUS ON THE NAME OF THIS OLD FOOLISH FLAME OF MINE!!!!! Today I wrote ANOTHER poem. I found a guitar and made some acoustic part that probably will turn into a song tomorrow. I deleted my old website and started coding it from scratch the way I know she would like it cause she couldnÂ´t stand the sketches I already had, so I started over, with pictures of her everywhere. I even refined a chocolatecake recipe in her honor, and god knows I am no chef!

Seriously, as said, IÂ´m at this job. This is the third summer IÂ´m at it. IÂ´m helping this guy in a wheelchair recover to his health. My job is to sit back and be avaiable. Especially now since heÂ´s with his GF. I just sit and wait till IÂ´m needed, which is quite rare, but they want to be alone. Can you blame them? NOW DONÂ´T you dare thinking: "Is he thinking of bikerbabes on this job??? WHat kinda of a man is he??". IÂ´m here making it possible for him and his GF to have a summervacation free of wheelchairproblems and health that comes along with it. Half of this day I spent fixing his new macbook pro.

Snaffles, jminso, all I wanted to know was a name, it has nothing to do with this being a former pitgirl in some racing sport. I just addressed this post to the guys, being it was a former pitgirl. What else is there to do after fixing a macbook pro, writing a poem, composing a song, make a cake, recode your website, playing world of warcraft, maintane photoshop techniques, make the blueprints of an apartment to make it as wheelchair friendly as possible, and stay away from the turtledoves? This is just one out of 30 days, and IÂ´ve been working for 8 days. I was just wondering about this name, please donÂ´t think ill of me!

Bjornar, I don't think ill of you at all, anything but in fact, in light of all you have just revealed. It was your use of the word 'payback' that made me uneasy. I have 3 big brothers, so am basically still a tomboy...but I am a still a woman. Still I can usually make good sense of both parts of a story so long as they are presented to me.

Anyway...if you can remember the name of a major sponsor of the team this woman was a pitgirl for, they may be able to give you some leads. Though they may not actually name her for fear of violating her privacy, and if she is married now she may well have another name.

Other activities you could add to the long and impressive and very varied list, though I think you already do...write critiques for the CC here. Take photos if your employer will allow it. Document what you do day in and day out, for you, your gf and anyone else you care to share them with. Hell,

Melethia took lovely photos of rocks and sand and boots in the windows when she was stationed overseas in warm sandy places where things went BOOM! on a regular basis. Maybe take a note from her book and try that.

IÂ´m not planning on finding her and stalking her or anything. Think of her as... I donÂ´t know... whoÂ´s famous for her beauty and achievements nowadays? Angelina Jollie? 15 years from now if you forget her name, you donÂ´t go to the end of the world finding it out, but you get curious. IÂ´m just curious; no feelings, no secret agenda, no nothing other than curiosity. I know she WAS quite famous, so I gave DPC a shot. Then one thing led to another that made me go: "wtf just happened now?" I was aiming for someone that would read the post and think: "Oh yeah, I remember her! Uhm... what was her name again... Oh, yeah!! Josie Packard!", or something like that. That was all. Last year or something I stumbled upon the name and thought to myself: "Whoa! ThatÂ´s you! Whatever happened to you?" Because she suddenly disapeard you see, interesting it was.

Uptill now I have had limited connection, and taking photos have not been an option, yet! IÂ´m not home, you see. Friday to Sunday we drove thru Norway, been raining like you wouldnÂ´t believe since we got here. Now weÂ´re settled though. Currently visiting his GFÂ´s family. Staying here for a week or two, depends, then drive 4 days south to their new apartment making it all friendly for them. Then staying there for a week, make everything good to go, then heaven opens and down an angel decends into my arms and we shall forever live in joy. Or something like that. Point is, IÂ´ve been "excisting" for a week with "nothing" other than my thoughts, and I donÂ´t think I am the only one climbing walls at that point. This week looks brighter though, if the weather allows it. Being available outside in the rain wet like a fish doesnÂ´t quite mix that well. DonÂ´t get me wrong though, I like being here, and I want to be her making their vacation whatever they want it to be. But your still thinking alot :p

Oh OK, I understand now where you're coming from. In my teens I had some beefcake posters up on my bedroom wall, and every so often wonder what they ever did for the rest of their careers, but that was pretty much it.

At least you are thinking a lot, that's good! And I never thought you wanted to stalk her or anything, I guess some stuff just got lost in translation is all. And if she did suddenly vanish then yes, it would add to the intrigue...what DID happen to her? Is she a happily married housewife in Australia? Or did something more nefarious happen to her?

Maybe write about it, Bjornar; could have all the makings of a decent little murder/mystery. Or a quest-type story. Write a poem about her and her mystique and your resurrected fascination with her. If you're on facebook et all try there, may have more luck than here.

And I really do mean what I said about admiring you for the work that you do; the world really does need more people like you willing to help others in such straits.

I found her. Her name was/is Sarah Jane (King). Her website is down, no file off her on wikipedia, almost nothing on youtube, google search donÂ´t find her (finds other Sarah Janes tho). Vanished from the face of the earth. Case closed, Snaffles ;)

Didn't mean for it to come across mean sounding, so sorry about that. I am glad you were able to get the name. I do understand what you mean when you are trying to think of the name of a person, son, movie or whatever and you can't remember.
