IMO "trends" during the week of voting are, statistically speaking, random noise. There is nothing useful to be learned by figuring out who votes what when. Any image is going to receive a range of votes, and almost all images, good or bad, get at least some votes across the whole spectrum. |

I don't disagree. But. I've been plotting my mean over the course of this entry and looked at the standard deviation of the votes, and the majority of the votes are within the mean +/- std. That screenshot's a little outdated (since then I've gotten a 2) but I suppose it's nice to see that some votes, although they're not great, shouldn't be unexpected.

Nifty stats stuff! Wish I knew how to do that. As for standard deviation, a nonribbon and usually implicit secondary goal of mine with challenges is to get a voting histogram that doesn't look like a bell curve. |
