Would it be ok for you to develop and post.. I'd be glad to start the roll(s) and send it to you.

You want B&W or Color?

(Hell, why limit this to one roll, let's do five, and just post the good ones.)

ETA:

If you can develop B&W we'll use both if you want to do multiple rolls.. (Well, I guess I could, but I don't have the time for the class, and fees aren't cheap! Other than that, we have virtually no development facilities here, excepting Walmart, and I don't think they handle real B&W film, do they? Even if they did... I don't think I'd like the results...)

I also thought it might be fun to have a roll where I provide a "frame" and you provide the subject, and another in the opposite fashion..

Sounds good, Cory. I take color film to my nearby Target and get processing with a CD of images for about five bucks. The results are decent and consistent. If you buy the film and ship it, I'll pay for processing, the CD, and scan the negative as needed since frames may be all over the place.

I hadn't considered black and white, but...

For almost a year now, I've had everything I need to develop black and white 35mm film. Laziness, or just contentment with color film and Target photo processing, has kept me from doing it. If you're willing to take a chance on my ability, this might be the kick I need to try it out.

Anyway, maybe we can start with a roll of color and a roll of black and white? I think you need to underexpose it by a stop, and I'll do the same. You can PM me if you like, though I don't mind posting here if it helps generate interest.

ETA: I like the idea of themes. I've been shooting a lot of textures lately. Maybe you can shoot a roll of whatever, and I can overlay those with textures... ? Just one idea.

Right on. I have Kodak D76, a powder. It has an expiration date of 9/2012. Granted, that will come fast if I keep procrastinating.

Ok!

I think I'll send a few extra rolls, both blank B&W (you shoot and process, just to get a feel for this film..), and maybe 2 rolls of color.. :)

PM me with your address, and I'll send as soon as I can.

I've sooo been looking for a good excuse to pop that ultra wide angle on my 35mm.

Here's a start of the collaboration between ErikV and me.

Since I live in Phoenix (hot hot desert) and he lives where there's lots of water, we decided to create images that combine our respective environments.

Here are two images that include images by Erik and images by me, and some overlay stuff as well.
