It's still doing well, that's why I call the first 15-20 votes the honeymoon period...either they love it or hate it...and it's the best I've done in months so this is quite nice... |

Free Studies are a whole other breed. Voters really want to be completely wowed with these shots since you have all month and advanced editing. Just keep plugging away. I just got above a 5 on a free study last month and am at a 5.38 this month. They are tuff and many good shots will end up midpack in this challenge. Nature of the beast. |

I've entered a few free studies and have yet to break a 6. However, I do have one that is my 4th best on my profile page so I guess it's right in line with where I'm supposed to be. My June FS score is currently at a 5.28. I think it would do better if it were in a weekly challenge.

| Shouldn't just dragging the camera out, composing and processing a shot that doesn't look like something taken with a 1987 Polaroid Onestep merit at least a 5? I didn't really think I was going to win, but a 4.50? Really? |
