Mooo? not complaining...

Many lovely portraits in this challenge, some obviously well-loved pets. Nice work everyone!

ETA: Carrie, trust me, it isn't worth fretting over scores that are bouncing all over the place. Just let the (cow)chips fall where they may. One rule of thumb I use is, if at least 50% of the comments made in-challenge all basically say the same...they're probably right! And if you want to see some REAL crappy scores, well go through my portfolio...plenty of 3s and 4s. And my overall average score rcv's is STILL under 5.000! Should cheer you up some. :-)

It's certainly a relative thing. Jaime is one of those folks who is tanking if under a 6. I got a kick out of it a few weeks ago when DrAchoo was asking post-challenge why an entry of his did so poorly at only a 5.82.

*sorry about my earlier whining* I was up all night in pain and couldnt sleep and kept checking my DPC score out of boredom and seeing it drop fast was driving me crazy!!!

Just a thought Carrie - why don't you find a DPC mentor?? If your scores are consistantly low, it might help to have someone you can show your images to before a challenge and get some advice on editing, etc. Another thing you might do is to look at the winning images and try to recreate them - play with the lighting, editing, etc. Do you have Photoshop or other editing software?

I hate cows. Said it all my life and then this challenge comes along - why didn't I enter the absolut challenge? Oh right, I know .. I can't shoot bottles worth a darn grrrrgh.. I need coffee.

I joined the sub club :) and i have photoshop cs3 paintshop 9 photomatrix and topaz

Ugh! I uploaded my file at the deadline while rushing out and it was the wrong version. Didn't realize until after the contest started. Getting hammered... it's a nice pic but the editing is horrid. Ah well... live and learn.
