Mesquite Elks Lodge #2404 burned down today :(
Truly a sad loss. So many memories were stored in this building.
All the photgraphs and records from special fund raising events and etc.

Thank goodness they had the worst of it out by the time I got there.

It's sad when things that mean so much to us and represent so many great times finalyl come to an end. I've posted a link in memorial to the Kelowna, BC tressels which burnt in the HUGE Okanagan fire this summer/fall. I was there to see the place go up in smoke, it was awe inspiring! Half of BC was on fire, or so it seemed.

In Kelowna, family members were literally racing in their cars down highways to outrun the fires. And friends were grabbign what they could from their homes as fires jumped houses, devouring each in under 10 seconds.

Lori nice photos thanks for sharing!
I only hope the lodge can manage to save a good portion of their photographs and valuable records. But it does not look good.
