I need help with some photo editing. What I'm looking for is something that I donðt even know how to describe :)
I want to edit photo so it will just be two colors. Black and some other color. The black is the shadow.
I have often seen photos like this and they don't have no details just two colors that together make some outlines of a face. I think this was often used in the old days because I haven't seen it for a long time.
OK not the best description but I hope someone understands what I'm looking for ... maybe you could help me? |

depending on your software..Photoshop has duotones that will work. that is the easy answer.
you can also use a gradient layer (again software dependent) and specify the 2 colors

Here is a tutorial on doing this without having to use Duotone Mode (or Photoshop, actually).
The DPC Tutorials are under the "Learn" menu.

Got any examples of the look you are trying to achieve? From your description it doesnt quite sound like duotone, at least not the no details outline part.

Computer Darkroom's tutorial on B&W conversion is one of the most powerful I've come across. |
