LOL.
In actuality, I do think it was bad form, but I am guessing there is something in the contract that permits them to do this - magazines do it all the time. |

I do see the need to add something to his shirt but I'm not sure they should have added it without him knowing about it. However I'm sure that L.A. signed a waiver saying something about the company photoshopping his pictures.
All and all I'm on L.A.'s side with this. What they did was wrong.

I think it's a pretty darn good job of photoshopping! I'd not be able to do that.
And Lance makes tons and tons of cash. He can bitch all he wants but he still takes their money, I'll bet. :-) |

Well, that's the problem, actually. He doesn't get paid for a magazine interview. He makes his money from endorsements etc, and these are all based on his image. He has spent a lot of time crafting his image to appeal to a certain bunch of advertisers, and he is NOT the kind of in-your-face athlete who goes around expressing the sentiment "BFD".
So as far as he's concerned, the magazine is potentially damaging his livelihood.
I think that's what the issue is, anyway... But then, what do I know? I'm just a guy with an opinion...
