for those of you participating or on the fence about SOFOBOMO (read the dpc thread here), here's a different twist.

most people end up putting together really nice coffee-table styled photo books. i recently tried out one of blurb's black and white text books and was blown away by the quality, especially the photo reproduction. what's even more incredible is the pricing...a 200-page book cost me less than $10!

the pdf on this page is the low-res version of the one i sent to blurb. even though it's mainly text (as that was it's purpose), i'll definitely be looking to do more of these. for those of you who love b&w, this is an excellent, low-cost, fun way to present (and preserve) your imagery.

Thats really interesting Skip. I was wondering about the quality of the text books as one of mine is planned in b&w. I'm really getting excited about trying some more self-publishing (i did some graphic novels about 10 years ago) and Blurb looks perfect for that.

for $10-20, it's worth the risk. i'd be shocked if you wound up dissatisfied.

@lonni: thanks! and no, techo's a photographer.

Hehe. Of course, an amazing one at that.
