That's a good reason. Yes, you'd need to upgrade Ps to use the converter, and upgrading from Ps 7.0 at this point would be very expensive. Lightroom is a fabulous tool for importing, organizing and "developing" images, *but* it is not a full-featured editor. You could, however, do all of your global changes in Lr (and some local ones as well), export to a non-RAW format and finish editing in Ps 7.
If you think the organization features of Lr are something you'd use, you can trial Lr for 30 days. I would *strongly* recommend that if you do so, first pick up a book on it, then load the trial, and really learn it from the bottom up. It is a great tool, but it is a little different, and can be a significant learning curve. |
