We have statistics about participants vs non=participants, we have commenters statistics, we even have votes cast vs votes received. I don't see member vs non-member as such a stretch. I certainly would not see it as worthy of comparing her to Rose. But if it helps to have some membership time behind you to ask, then fine I ask.
Had you checked the OP's other threads, I would think you will find her to be very interested in improving her skills and being a positive addition to this site, and that this was an honest question. |
I agree! Keep posting Carrie - your suggestion may have some merit but I personally would rather have the powers that be keep track of it, and they probably do already. :-D |

Well I feel like crap. I feel like I ruined my "fun vibe and happy go luckiness" and actually feel like I no longer am wanted around here... which totally sucks... Noone "put me up to it" we were having a conversation, it came up, and it was suggested that I post it. Thats all. Can we please just move on? Please! I really like it here and dont want to have to feel uncomfortable because I stepped on a time bomb that I didnt know was there.

I assure you... You are wanted... Don't worry about the vibe, this shit happens all the time, and you will cause this again... Learn to enjoy it from a disconnected non-emotional point of view...
As per transgressions? Ha! This is so minor you wouldn't believe it.. You've just managed to step on a rather sore toe, that's all... We know you didn't mean to.. Or at least those of us who have been following your rather enthusiastic exploration know that you didn't mean to...
As it is, I think you are wonderful, and you will be a superb and most welcome addition to the fray..
Speaking of learning... This is a great opportunity... Learn not to try to get everyone to like what you say ( I know this lesson well.. As I have the same issue, I would like everyone to like what I say and agree with me..)... Face it you're going to piss people off in life.. This is a great place to do that (as long as you mean well anyhow...), as we are a forgiving (or forgetful?) bunch..
So, relax, and keep going at it... Don't you dare think you are no longer wanted here... Oh, and we will eventually probably really jump your ass about something... Don't worry about that either, just learn and stay cool..

When I first got here folks thought I was Rose. Who is this Rose person anyway?
(The only Rose I know is the one on Two and a Half Men) lol

I vote we give her a break and only put her on double-secret probation.

If that doesn't work, she can always be banned, or Art can sharpen his pitchfork and spark up the torches!
I think I can safely vouch for her. In one of the other threads, she turned me into a newt, but now, I'm much better.

This place can be maddening at times, fun at times and ALWAYS a learning experience, lol. You can never please all of the people all of the time, nor should you try! :P (That would kill all the fun, hehehehe!)
The banning thread is a bit more light-hearted, so mosey on over. (Too bad the bar got moved to rant - cobwebs in there...) We WANT you here and we like you.
Oh, and  Luci11e, I'm still not sure who the Rose chick is. There was another one they used to talk about also, but I think she kept dying and stealing pictures. Not sure what this one did...before my time, too. |

Same chick. She gets around. Her most characteristic early behavior, before she entered the "lashing out" stage, was the endless talking, the entering of practically all threads with an opinion, the instant responses to everyone who responded to one of her posts, etc.
Accordingly, whenever we get a hyper-enthusiastic newcomer in the forums, a certain number of people will wonder if it's the latest iteration of Rose. That's just the way it is...
