Is anyone getting comments like this?? A couple people have commented that my entry is NOT mundane so it doesn't fit the challenge! LOL, somebody isn't reading the challenge topic I guess.

its also possible some folks don't know all the uses of the word mundane... and therefore don't understand your entry...

Another problem is that some people might find something very unique that they haven't seen very often. But, to the submitter its something they see everyday. This is why I voted on everything in the challenge as though it fit the topic, although some submissions are questionable.

I think with such a title a little bit of licence is required,
following some of the poor " conflict " entries I was very tolerant as to the exact challenge with " Mundane ", simply because there are some very good entries and they deserve this flexibility.
Just my opinion of course,
Paul.

i wondered about this. Mundane means 'Of or pertaining to the world; worldly; earthly; terrestrial; as, the mundane sphere' (websters). Thus most subjects, represented in some extraordinary way would fit the challenge.

However, I presumed most folk would interpret is as meaning something (probably an object) that is boring/everyday/uninteresting. Thus challenege was thus how to make it 'extra' ordinary.

I believe that some submitters and voters alike don't necesarily read the challenge description. This one says Take something ordinary and make it look extraordinary. With these guidelines, there very well could be things that are not on topic in the eyes of some voters...
