After 5 days of trying, very hard, to get answers to my camera problems, I got a hold of a supervisor who was extremely helpful, who worked with tech support and was able to answer my questions and, hopefully, able to get a long term fix to my camera issues.
I'm happy with Canon again; they've redeemed themselves after a bad 5 day experience.

Too bad. I was looking forward to a nice deal on some lens upgrades.
