With the present tense, it gives a meaning that although this is the first time you've said anything about it, you're planning on saying something about it further down the track. ;-Þ

Agreed! I think all DPL teams (except mine) should boycott this challenge!

I am currently doing a CELTA course, so I have grammar on the brain for now.
Jac, thank you for pointing out all those spelling mistakes, they drive me nuts, too.
One that I'd like to add is "should have" or "would have" - NOT "should of" or "would of".
However, Mike is right....... you should have said "the first time I have said" (in the past, but still influences the present).

Forgive whatever mistakes I just made - I HAVE HAD a glass of wine :-)

I'm pretty sure that there were no spelling mistakes in your examples, just misunderstandings of different parts of speech due to homophone confusion. I think that counts as a grammar error.

Also you've used the present simple "I say" instead of the present perfect "I have said". I'm sure that because of your high standards in English grammar accuracy you won't begrudge me pointing this mistake out to you ;)

Oooo I do love being pedantic!

I also agree that this challenge is pretty lame, how many people must have the same or similar bags?

I remember that challenge! Lots of lenscaps getting dipped in glasses of milk etc. And of course many black screens.

While we're on this..... I seen is not proper grammar.

It is 'I have seen' or 'I saw'.

This challenge also gives me a great excuse to replace my 6 year old Lowepro bag. And as all of us already knows; better gear makes us better photographers! :p

Absolutely. I recently upgraded my camera bag and look at what my entries are now doing. George bought my old bag, but I made sure to suck all the remaining mojo out of it before I sent it to him.

OMG Seriously people?!?! something comes along that actually makes you THINK and be CREATIVE and you gotta bitch about it? If its too much of a CHALLENGE for you DONT enter and go sit in the corner while the rest of us have fun with it. IMO its far better than Flowers-XXIX or landscapes-XXXIIVVI... There is a reason they are called CHALLENGES ;)

Oh jeez! Can people not point out that they think the challenge is pretty lame, and not particularly challenging, without people stomping their feet and suggesting they go sit in corners and let others have fun. And putting WORDS in CAPITALS to make a POINT. Honestly, the level of intelligent discussion on this site seems to be on par with a school of precocious and hyperactive 8 year olds.

DPC, we want fresh, new, vibrant, inspirational challengs that are in the dead center of our comfort zone. Is that too hard to understand, or too much to ask? ;-)
