Is it worth it???

Right now I have the trial version that I am using. Waiting for the store on campus to get it in so I can buy it.

I don't really use PS that much, do most of my editing in Aperture and a few plug-ins for Aperture. Really only go to PS for the healing brush and removal of stuff. The content aware portion of CS5 is outstanding. I have gone back to a few photographs I really liked but just not good enough in PS to fix them and used the content aware to great effect.

I really need to get into using PS more and learn how to use layers and stuff to make my photos sing but just have not done that. The new content aware function makes what I normally do in PS so much easier. Enough that I am actually going to upgrade to it. Than again for only $200 on campus I can't really not get it.

I shelled out and upgraded to a creative suite CS4 last spring... With Aperture 3 I don't use PS enough to think about upgrading again.
Content aware sounds insane but it makes you wonder if you will even need a camera pretty soon... just grab a little stock grass here, some sky there, and a few bushes and rocks etc. and you have yourself a photorealistic CG landscape ;P

I have CS5 on both my computers...it rocks and I don't even have very good PS skills!!!

If anyone has a Mac and wants a "deal" let me know!

BTW, the Content Aware Fill and HDR Pro add ons are AMAZING!

Any word on HDR Pro compared to Photomatix?
I watched one of the Cafe TV videos on HDR PRO, and didn't know that Photomatix just converts all exposures into jpeg for combining, which is interesting.
Any first hand comparisons from our users?
