My son and I will be in Toronto on the afternoon of May 17th and stay the night. We really want to see the CN tower. Can you take cameras up in the tower? What are some other good sites to see in a short period of time? |

As far as I know, you can take cameras up the tower.... though it is expensive. If you are up for a dinner as well, go to the 360 Restaurant, as it gives you a free ride to the top (normally its around $25).
Other places to visit:
Yonge Street (Yonge and Dundas square)
Distillery
Toronto Island (more of a day thing)
Casa Loma
The Beach
Scarborough bluffs
The ROM

You might want to check out This site. To get an insight as to what views are available you could check This out.
Lastly, if you really want to make certain, you could check with:
CN Tower

Have a wonderful trip and happy shooting.
