last weekend i shot family portraits for my Sis and took the opportunity to try a human HDR
it was so hard not to make them cartoonish but i feel it still has that effect
i have 3 weeks of blogs to write i will catch up on that and comments by weeks end

There's more to the Boxley Valley than just Elk(all best viewed in Large Format in Flickr)
Week 12: Boxley Valley Bluffline

Bluffline to west of south end of Boxley Valley. Bluffline is aqpproximaely 1.5 miles away and 800 feet above valley floor. Cattle in filed in forground give some sense of scale.
Week 13: Early Morning Buffalo River

Buffalo River upstream from Ponca low-water bridge. Early morning sun is high enouh to light trees on north side of river but not the south. Fog can still be seen rising from the bluffs and forest on the south side.
Week 14: Eden Falls

Eden Falls at the upper end of Lost Valley, an offshoot of the Boxley Valley. Only the lower 2/3 of the falls are visible in this shot. (After several attempts - still not happy with the lighting of this shot. Need to catch it at a different time of the day when either both walls are lit or shaded.)

Catching up still so these are from this afternoon. Using in camera multiple exposure and the same chimney from the house across the street. Thought it gave a nice thematic coherence to the images. I'm obviously going through a brown period at the moment.
