So scanner working again! yippee. This is actually an old one that I had not scanned previously thinking it was too blurry. But then, I figured, there really isn't a "too blurry" state with the Holga. This was taken from a moving (albeit slowly) train. What was I thinking ?? Anyway, happy to have at least one, now I'm going to scan some colour film, let's see how that goes.

OK. I'm failing at the scanning. I should have had the lab do it! Thought I would save $5 per roll...

I sure wish my lab offered the service. I have found it far from an exact science. Takes AGES to get it right (at least it takes this user ages!)

Took me 10 days...but I got my first something out of the Holga.

Several images from my Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim to follow. This tiny little, light hungry 35mm camera feels like it's going to fall apart in your hands. On the plus side is the super wide 22mm lens which delivers gratuitous amounts of distortion and flare -- and a really nice vignette.

Tried the binocular camera today. The shots from this camera turned out to be gloriously flawed. Due to the nature of this camera, I have to be way back from the subject, and framing the scene is awkward. I'll be trying some color film in it after this.

Last of the shots from the Brownie 127 I'll be posting.

An experiment using a magnifying glass as a supplemental lens. I previously worked out approximately the focal distance (one hand width) by holding the lens in front of my dslr. Unlike with an slr, composition is a matter of guesswork! It was also getting a bit dark, so the negative was very thin, i.e. almost clear, but one digital photo and some adjustments in UFRaw later:

Coming soon, pictures from the Luxette (assuming they come out)

Should be sending something off to the lab tomorrow, so it will be at least a week before I have them back. I should learn how to do the developing myself.

I managed to manually load some film into the backwards 69 cent special this evening. I was actually surprised to find the film seems to advance properly and cocks the shutter. I'll give it a try tomorrow and see what I get out of it.

Another from the Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim. This camera does wonderfully unpredictable things with the sun (the least of which is seen here, but stay tuned).

Managed to get some film loaded into the 69 cent special that is constructed in reverse. The photos were surprisingly good.
