How are the hard drives in your pic receiving power?

That's when I was building the computer. The power cables are not yet hooked up in that pic.

I think the one you found on top of the power supply with 3 leads is the SATA power connector. Follow it and see if it leads into the power supply. The pink/red cable is a SATA data cable. A cheap item.

Yes, it leads into the power source but only has three female whiteish type connectors.

Will I be able to get a short cable that goes from the hard drive to one of the female plugs (need male connector has four wires coming from it 2xblack and 1 x each red and yellow). I see the other hard drives have them but I gather they came with it. Can they be purchased? Thanks

The whitish connector sounds like the standard hard drive power cable used by IDE drives. Yes, you can buy an adapter. Here is one. The conenctor on the right should look like what you have coming out of your power supply and the one on the left is what goes to your hard disk. You should be able to pick one up at a well stocked electronics/computer shop. I was going to recommend a place, then remembered you are not in the U.S.

Thanks Steve.

A different question for you. I have topaz loaded and it shows up in elements fine but it doesn't show in PS3.
Any idea why? Thanks

You probably need to go into your preferences for Photoshop and tell it what additional folders to look in for plugins. I use PaintShop Pro, and I have to set it's preferences so it knows where my plugins are.

Does anyone have a cheap yet capable video card that they are willing to part with?

Ordered my RAM and small leads today. Should have it in the mail tomorrow. Can't wait. My machine will FLYYYYYYY!!!!
Can't believe I put up with my old one for so long. For$90 AUS I can hopefully put off purchasing a new computer for maybe 2 years - yay.
