I can't complain and have almost 10% comments which is always good. I thought it was going to be 5.8ish.

I love even numbers!
Unless it's a 7.00

I do not understand this voting pattern at all. The first 70 voters seemed to love it, The last Dozen or so not so much. I have 6 positive comments and my score is still on pace to be my highest freestudy score and perhaps 2nd highest all time But if things keep going down like they are it might not be so sweet.

From votes 45 to 90 my score plummeted .8

Yikes!! What a bummer the second half has been.

This challenge has gone from being very fun to downright depressing. These challenges are not worth all the stress. My score at 70 votes was 6.98 it is now 6.68 at 87 votes. I know it is still a good score, But I set the bar high for this challenge and for awhile it actually looked to have that potential. Now it just looks like another mid pack photo. It wouldn't be so bad but most of the people who give low votes never give a reason, either they are just guttless or perhaps they actually know very little about what they are doing when they vote and can not offer an explanation because they simply do not have one or they are just troll voting, Whatever the reason, They are making DPC less and less appealing each and every week.

Have you voted yet? I also have a very nice score going that has been dropping recently, but I started voting. Once I started voting, I realized what a tremendous batch of pictures there are. With this many great photos, and this high of a bar, I think people are a little more picky on their voting.

Also, I was really confused at one point -- I had a bird photo in a free study awhile ago that would have gotten a 7+ in a regular nature challenge, that received around a 6.3 in a free study. It helped me realize that not everyone likes bird photos. They score it accordingly high in a nature challenge, because it's good and fits the topic, but not nearly as high in a free study, because it doesn't catch their interest. People have the same issues with landscapes, portraits, etc. There's not a huge chunk of votes right now, so any vote still makes a big difference. Get out and vote, people! If you're not happy with what your score is doing, start some positive vibes going in the challenge. Vote and vote happy!!

Ditto Wendy there. My score has dropped rapidly but cant vote or view pics as yet. Im here at "Graskop Mpumalanga" traveling and having fun appart from seeing my score dropping with so few votes coming in.I think all the regulars are out on leave and its mostly trolls voting now:) Wait for holidays to be over and things will be back to normal.

Personally Im also looking forward to start voting. Bugzeye...dont be to tough on yourself. I think most people including myself feel this way.

I feel your pain, though not at your elevated level. I entered what I thought was a nice DPC-friendly photo, and it's barely topping 5.5 right now. I thought at least I could maybe pull a 6, but that ain't happening. (In my case, hoping for a 6 IS setting the bar high.)

my score is at a consistent pace of dropping down close to a 6.0000. it seems that it is gravitating that way and by the end of the challenge it will be a flat 6, which is acceptable for me

Had a pretty low vote that crashed things for awhile today. But the nice voters seem to be back!

hundred vote check-in: still holding on a 6 and fished out a favorite

This FS has gone the opposite of normal. My submission was out of the box and I wasn't sure how it was going to go. At 72 votes I had a 5.4, the last 27 voters have been much kinder and I have been going up:)Hope it keeps going the same direction.

Votes are slow going but have steadily climbed back up to 6.3. Not at 100 votes yet, so could easily go the other way again. Pretty happy right now.

ETA. and now going back down......
