I was looking for something to do wider angel shots. After going through Canyon X I wish I had brought one. I'm looking for a lens high in quality, not in range. Something that will deliver SHARP pictures with a range beginning at around 10mm and reaching to around 100mm.
I was also thinking about looking into fisheye or wide-angel lenses. Anyone have a lens that they ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!! that they would recommend?
I have a Canon EOS 500D Rebel T1i and it fit almost all Canon lenses.

| There is a similar thread going on discussing Tamron, Sigma, and Tokina brand lenses that start in the 10/11mm range. However, they all end in the 16-24mm range, which is all I have seen in my searching. I don't think you will fine 10-100, or anything close to that. You will need two lenses to get that kind of range. |

It doesn't quite fit your description, but the Canon lens I have that I absolutely love is my 17-55. Don't confuse with the kit lens! The 17-55mm is f2.8 through the range, has IS and is built like a tank. It is very sharp, adequately wide at 17mm and very low chromatic abberation. According to canon it has L class glass inside and I believe it given the results. Unfortunately that is also reflected in the price, but you get what you pay for with glass...
I doubt there is a lens out there that does the 10-100mm range. Canon have an 18-200 I believe but my personal rule is not to try and get more than 3x or at the most 4x optical zoom from a single lens. You do lose quality. |

 giantmike is right. You won't get that kind of range unless you're happy with a compromise at the bottom end which is what you're looking for in the first place. Superwide angles are limited to that range and nothing else. |

ApertureJack, the previous posts are correct, I don't believe anyone has the range and quality that you are looking for, and if they did, the lens would probably weigh a ton.
However, I do see your predicament, I am in the same boat as you. Currently, I am on a cropped sensor (as are you) and my primary lenses give me a great range from 17-200 (missing a few in between), with f/2.8 AND IS throughout.
-Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM
-Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM
I find that I am missing the wider range, but there are alternative sets...
Cropped Sensor:
-Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
-Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM
or
-Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
-Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM
-Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM
Full frame:
-Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L II USM
-Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM
or
-Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0 L USM
-Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM

-Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L II USM
