Yes, this is a techie question on a photography forum, I know. I also know there's a bunch of fine software engineers/programmers/web developers on here also. :-)

In the past I've modified Mozilla on Unix to open a menuless browser and have disabled the hotkeys (i.e. Ctrl-N for new window, etc...).

Now I need to do the same with Ubuntu (v8.04) and Firefox (v3.0.11) and I'm having a heck of a time finding the files I need to edit. I'm ok with the menuless browser (modified userChrome.css) item as that works the same.

I modified the navigatorOverlay.xul file (in comm.jar) for Mozilla, but it doesn't seem to exist for this Ubuntu/Firefox combo. Anybody know where this .xul file is located or if it's been replaced? I've searched high and low (Ubuntu and Mozilla forums also).

For those that are curious, we use a browser on a closed environment to display things like video streams and help manuals, etc...

If you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Barry

An addon might do the job ...
https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/710

But if you are updated on chrome and xul, open chrome://browser/content/browser.xul in a tab, analyse the content with firebug so you'll find the entries to modify in the xul and/or css.
