It would be great, if the subjects for future challenges would be known, say 4 weeks in advance. Like this one could plan day trips or outings better according to the DPChallanges. If I know in 3 weeks we will have a flower challenge, I will plan my visit to Keukenhoof (Tulips in Holland) during this week.
What do you think ?

I'd love to visit Keukenhof again. Marvelous place! I'd say you should go even if there isn't a DPC challenge for it. :-)

That would be nice. I leave for a 10 day cruise next Friday and won't return home until the following Tuesday. On Tuesday, I'll have to see if I can fit anything I took into the two Wednesday challenges that will be posted while I'm gone and I won't know what they are until deadline day. (that's almost a fun challenge in itself....finding things to photograph that would be a broad shoehorn)

But, on the other hand, I think that's what the "challenge" part of DPChallenge is all about. It's not really a challenge to plan four weeks ahead of time.

You'll always need an entry for the 'Best of 2010'! :-)

Go anyway, shoot for the love of photography, and who knows you might just get that one special "keeper".

The thinking is that if I knew 4 weeks ahead of time that the challenge for the week of May 1st would be "sunsets" and tonight I see the best sunset I have seen all year, why then what's to stop me from changing the date on my camera and running off to shoot it right now?

Now *I* wouldn't do that, and *you* wouldn't do that, but...

from Wednesday thru Monday, we will be in Belize City, Cozumel, Nassau and Charleston. I will cover my bases. : - )

Although I do have a few kickass ideas for a Free Study image....meaning of course, I'll probably enter a flower.

There's also the Free Studies. Not only do you know four weeks in advance, you can also enter any subject you like.
