I just got a 4 from someone who left a comment to the affect that they didn't care for the subject of my shot
What is that about? |

Someone doing what we ask them to do all the time? Comment on what they don't like if they leave a low score. Not liking the subject is fair game.
I got a similar comment with a 4 as well (probably the same person).

When I get those, I look at the commentor's average score given. If it is less than a 5, then I feel a little better about it. I had one this evening like that. Their average score given is a 4.6. I'll take their 5 and be happy.

| I have a low average score given, but that's because I tend to give high and low numbers and not much in between. I guess I tend to either like an image and think it works, or I don't. |

| My score is not in the mid 7's anymore, But it is still on pace to knock a picture off my top five and if things keep going will be the highest I have ever placed in a free study by a country mile. I have two nice comments also. Now if anyone was playing an April Fools Joke and voting 1's 2's or 3's It is almost time to go through and change them to the correct 7's 8's 9's and 10's.... :) |

Remember that non-members can look but not vote in Free Studies. There is often a large discrepancy between views and votes. And some who enter won't vote (though with a Free Study, there's no "meet the challenge" criteria. Free Studies often have notoriously low voting. I think it would be nice if everyone who entered would vote 25% or so, but for some that's just too much of a time commitment, I suppose. |

Clearly, this is the after effect of the latest "voting trend" scandal, where people are now afraid to vote how they feel for fear of being banned and are instead, voting in a way that the SC intends them to vote. |
