Sorry about the problem accessing the site.
Judi you are currently 7th. I think you are liking 7th place, you have been there for three weeks. You closing in on 6th place only behind by 28 points. The points are close throughout the top 10 users. Only 133 points separate 1st through 10th place. |

If you have a problem viewing the link it's because I'm using the space provided by my ISP. Sometimes it gets overwhelmed. If the link don't work, wait a few minutes and try again.
Thanks everyone. |

Hey, this is cool Scott! I hadn't really paid much attention to this (no offense intended). I'll have to try and move up a bit. :-)
Have you explained how the rankings work in a forum thread somewhere? I figured it out after a bit, but I can see where it might be confusing somewhat. |

Your rank is obtained by three key elements.
1)How many challenges you have entered.
You earn points by entering challenges. The more challenges you enter the higher the points (rank) you will earn. Every time a new user enter the points get higher. As of week 14 1340 users have entered at least one challenge this year. That means the user with the most entries could receive as much as 1340 points and the users with the lowest number of entries (say one) would only earn 1 point.
2)Your Average for this year.
You earn points based on your yearly average. The highest average earns the most points while the lowest earns the least.
3)You Percentile for this year.
The percentile is taken from the challenges you have entered and does not include challenges that you have not entered. That's why two users with a 6.0000 average can have different percentiles. Again the user with the highest percentile scores the highest points while the user with the lowest score the least amount of points.
Entry Points + Average Points + Percentile Points = Total Points
Ranking is based on Total Points. The User with the most points Ranks 1st while the user with the least points ranks last.
To give you an example. Look at 2nd vs 3rd place. If third place had entered one more challenge than second they would have a extra 14 points and would have taken over second place. Looking at 3rd vs 4th place. If 4th place had entered one more challenge then they would be tied. If you look at 1st place, the percentile is high (90%). If the user had the same amount of entries and the same average but had entered some challenges where the percentile would have been lower it would have dropped that user down to second place. So percentile plays a big part in your overall score.
Hope this helps.
