Just curious if anyone here uses the Canon 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM lens? If so, what do you think of it? Good quality? How is the picture quality from 200-300mm? Anything else you can think of would be helpful, along with picture examples if possible. :)

I have 100-300 4.5-5.6 USM, very sharp lens !

You may want to take a look at this thread at DPReview. You could also do a forum search over there in the Canon SLR Lens Talk forum, there is plenty of discussion of this lens.

According the EOS lens performance survey for xx-300mm tele-zooms , the 100-300 is rated quite a bit differenlty (2.68, average) than the 75-300 (2.11, below average). Surprisingly (at least to me) is that the Tokina 100-300 f/4 AT-X is the highest rated lens (4.24, very good) in that group. |
