When I'm working in a file, photoshop has a historical list of what I've done to that picture. But when I close the file, the history is gone. How do I save that history so I know what's been done to the photo?
thanks!

I use Paint Shop Pro and instead of a PSD file I have to use a PSPI file.
What I do if an action isn't available as a separate adjustment layer (Gaussian blur, clarify), I make a duplicate layer and rename it with the action taken and approximate settings. This way, when I open the PSPI file again, those layers are still visible and I can recreate my actions pretty closely.
