| I'm looking to upgrade from my 40D and for half the price of the 7D the T2i seems to be the better option. I can only see improvements from my 40D except the frames per sec rate. I was very interested in the upgrade of the auto focus system, the 18mp sensor and the 6400 ISO. Too bad they included the HD video. Although it's a nice feature for some people, I have a nice video cam, and I won't use the video on any Canon DSLR. Added cost that bothers me. |

I had my hands on both a 7D and a T2i today. The 7D definitely feels better in my hands, and the controls are more similar to my 30D. However, the T2i was impressive. It definitely kicks my 30D's butt, and I can't even begin to tell you how much better it is that the Rebel XS we have at work which I want to throw up against the wall EVERY time I use it. But, there is still that prejudice that says, "It's a Rebel. It's a consumer camera." So, I'm torn between the T2i and a 50D because both are much more afordable to me than the 7D, but like I said - there's prejudice against the T2i just because it is a Rebel.

| Ok so I figure I only live once and they had 12 months same as cash financing so I ended up ordering my 7d the other day and it just came in. My God I am in Love. Fired off a few test shots and wow do I love this camera. I also have a 70-200 2.8L is coming in tomorrow which will look nice on the front of this camera. |

Seriously--congrats. A friend of mine got a 7d recently and loves it.
