This is where I worked last fall. Voisey's Bay Nickel Project in Labrador, Canada. Hopefully I'll get to go back in the spring.

Went in late one day last October and got this on the way:

Here is a picture I just took the other day. Rain and snow. Not much of a view.

well, truth of that matter is i work in an office building in a city of 1 million people, but the mountains are near enough to see pretty clearly (and even more so with a 300MM lens).

the way the sun coming up hit the peaks and kept the foreground in shadows left me a little speechless. Which is pretty difficult, as those who know me will attest.

I can actually see the mountains from my office window, if I stand on my tip toes and lean to the left a little and the wind is blowing the trees just right...almost like being there.

Sometimes it's how you look at it ... this was back out the passenger-side window while crossing a freeway overpass, as I took Isaac to school before work last Wednesday.

OOO! OOO! ME TOO ME TOO! I'm looking at the mountains on the perimeter of the industrial park right now. Calgary might be a baron wasteland without the buildings, but the surrounding scenery is astonishing. Driving through the mountains is like being in another world...although I'm always afraid I'm going to slip right off the side..*gulp*
