The wife bought me a Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro and I'm super excited! Now to figure out how to use it.

I solved that problem a few years back... I simply buy whatever Beetle gets, let her read the manual and voila...problem solved.
Don't tell her OKIE :O)

You may be surprised how little camera shake it takes to blur a shot at 300mm. I use a monopod most of the time when I am shooting at that focal length.
Have fun with it, and show us the goods. : )

I'm hoping to get out tomorrow and take some shots and play with this lens. I also got a $100 walmart gift card for doing some IT work at my wifes job. So I went to walmart and saw a decent little samsung point and shoot really cheap. So I figure what the hell and went to ask someone to get it out so I could look at it, and one my best friends from way back in the day is a manager at this walmart now. He gives a discount and some other stuff and I end only paying $35 for a 12.2 mp samsung sl502. It also came with a free case and a free 2gb SD card. So its been an a great weekend so far.
