These games don't excite me as much as they did years ago. Just doesn't seem the same when millionaire NHL players are playing for both sides. Seems just like a Canada/USA All Star game. There is no "feeling" in it for me.
Oh...same with basketball in the Summer.

Congrats to our Canuk friends in the north.
A hard fought game, and a deserved win.
We'll see you next time around, and a special thanks for a very well well done job all around. Cold land, warm hearts.... It's been a great two weeks.

Yup. Besides, having to fight back from elimination instead of being the presumptive top seed in the quarter-finals makes for a better story, and I don't think people will forget that the two teams were 1:1 versus each other, and the order of their wins might as easily have been reversed ... both teams get something pretty positive out of the series.
Oh, and I noticed there were only 2 penalties/side, and virtually no commercial breaks. If someone would pay NBC to do that the NHL (and pro soccer) would get way better ratings than they do now ...
