I am completly shocked. I went to bed content that my picture was a solid 7 with TWO votes, this morning I think there is something wrong with the voting system because with almost 40 votes I am down to a 4.5.

I'm kidding, I didn't get that much time last week for a set up and wanted to test my theory that my "boring" pics get better scores. Guess that theory just got blown out of the water.

Well kiwinick, it looks like you have competition and judging by the scores reflected by others on this thread I may get a ribbon in my first challenge. When I first logged in I had 8.0 with two votes. It only took a couple of hours for reality to come crashing upon me when my score was 4.1xxx with a more quantitative measure.

A bit better now (not much) but more importantly was a comment I received that was truly lovely by someone who completely got my photo (I'm guessing an important detail of my composition may have been missed by some voters which is reflected in my scores). Anyway, so far:

This challenge seems to" suck the big one". I no longer understand why a good image gets pummeled into the snow !

I even got a comment saying they couldn't see what it had to do with my garden - I was in my garden - this is the last time I follow the challenge guidelines - it only generates a sucky score!
